caught you peeking - may 19th, 2008
Oh you're so busted. I'm telling everyone you know that you're a closet BD fan. Perhaps
even net-necrophile, skulking around their dead website and whatnot.
Well, we ain't THAT dead, pilgrim, and we ain't out by a long shot. Since you were good
enough to drop by, you probably already know what's going on. We're now down to only
one "original" member of BD, being yours truly, Ryan. While I'm still at it with the cover
nights at Fadó Irish Pub and BD III's slimy reanimation RETROVERTIGO, to quote
Captain William Bligh of His Majesty's Navy, "there are rumblings." BIG ONES.
I've been lucky enough to jam out with a lot of Denver musicians over the past couple of
months, and it seems at the moment, we have quite the unexpected assemblage
currently gelling--congealing, if you will, as leftover gravy--into Blackbird Down's fourth
incarnation. Regular rehearsals have ensued, new songs are materializing, and
chemistry is a-fizzlin'. With the right winds, citizens, we will be sailing back into the
Denver groove right in time for summer.
We love you for hanging with us, downers... all your support and love will be rewarded
and reciprocated! STAY TUNED...
